I’ve heard this way too much. You CAN do this. And here’s why.

Being a voice for change in the beauty industry isn’t a “one fits all” situation. That’s for dang sure.

Maybe you’ve thought about it. But I want to use my crystal ball for a second. {waves hand over crystal ball}

You’re thinking:

I don’t want to be THAT girl

I HATE selling.

I CAN’T do it like you.

Good news.

YOU CAN DO THIS. AND HERE’S WHY.

What is your favorite pair of jeans and why? What makes them feel good on you?

We are all social sellers. We want to help others find solutions they are looking for and we want to share things that we love. This is what it means to be a consultant with Beautycounter. We are not selling. We are listening to our clients and offering solutions. We ask questions. We don’t know the answers. We ask those we trust. WE PROVIDE SOLUTIONS.

Listen, no one likes selling. So don’t sell. Ultimately, you are sharing. People buy from you because they feel like they know you, they like you, and they trust you. Ask yourself, “Do they have skin?” And if the answer is “Yes!”, then you have questions to ask and solutions to provide.

Don’t try to be like anyone else!

Comparison is the ABSOLUTE thief of joy. You are uniquely you. Don’t “copy and paste” from anyone else. You have a voice and it is imperative that it is heard. It may be small. It may be overbearing. It may be burgeoning. But it is yours! And it is important. This is the only way we are going to change the beauty industry.

Did you know that we have had no federal legislation passed in the beauty industry since 1938? That’s a long time ago. It’s time to lend your voice. Your unique voice.
